- What's Up With Josh Fix?

- Take the musical muscle of 70's rock icons Queen, add the sentimentality of ivory tinklers like Elton John and Billy Joel, and tie it up with an alterna-rock bow and you're just scratching the surface of Josh Fix' music. Having attracted the attention of A-list artists and tastemakers like Lenny Kravitz & Eddie Van Halen, Josh' composition "Whiskey & Speed" was recently named "Best Unsigned Recording" by the NARAS/GRAMMY Committee, San Francisco Chapter in August, 2003. Josh, along with his group The Furious Force, served as the main Stage Opener (replacing the Counting Crows) for The Who at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in L.A.) September, 2002 and played second stage for The Who World Tour, California leg. Notable recent local support slots include: The Vines, Hot Hot Heat, Grandaddy, Super Furry Animals, The Music, The French Kicks, The Joggers. Headlining in San Francisco: Great American Music Hall, Cafe Du Nord, Elbo Room, Boom Boom Room, Knitting Factory (L.A.),among others. Headlining in New York: CBGB's, the Bitter End. Look for Josh's debut album in the coming months.
